2社に相見積りをとって、施工会社を決定。ちなみに、この施工会社をどこに決めるかの打合わせも楽しかったですよ。まるで、ちょっとした審査会誌。｢こっちは、ここがいいねえ｡」｢ポイントはここよね｡」なんて、議論沸騰。｢よし！ここにしよう！」と、審査委員長のご主人の一声にみんなで拍手！｢決定！」そして、無事に工事が進み、いよいよお引渡し。｢出来栄えはいかがでしょうか? 」との問いに、｢う～ん... ｡」とこれまたファイナルアンサー調。｢合格！」と嬉しいお言葉をご主人からいただきました。
To carry out the work for Mr. and Mrs. T we asked two construction companies to submit quotations so we could select the best one to carry out the work. Finally the bids came in and it was great fun when we had the meeting to decide which of the construction companies should do the work. It was just like an ex amination meeting. The discussion went this way and that " Well this company is good in this area. " " This point is important. " Everybody discussed the matter very seriously. Finally "OK lets decideon this company ! " Mr. T decided and We all said "Agreed! " and there was a spontaneous round of applause! Finally the work could be started properly and at last the renovated home handed over to Mr. and Mrs. T. when the flat was finished I asked them "What do you think about it?" Then Mr. T said some nice words to me "Ummmm," just like the tone of the presenter on that final answer TV program, "You have passed the examination ! "

I guess there is little opportunity if you are not in the design or construction business to touch real things before they are fixed. This is a very sad thing and is a real loss to anyone who has felt that satisfaction and joy. Manufacturers introduce many articles every years o this lackof opportunity can not be help ed. I think providing the opportunity is the responsibility of the designer.
